Dyson remains focused on ensuring that our homes are as spotless as possible, but that this cleaning is also achieved efficiently and with little effort. That is why it has launched four new products that will complete its range for home care.
According to Dyson data, in the last year the number of people who have regular cleaning schedules has reduced considerably, but they still spend 25 minutes a week, the equivalent of 65 hours a year, vacuuming homes. Detection, software and automation are the basis of these new machines. By understanding the environment and the task at hand, the product, whether it is a vacuum cleaner or a purifier, can respond automatically to meet the challenge in the most effective way thanks to intelligent and precise sensors based largely on embedded software, electronics and automation. , as well as basic mechanical technologies such as engines, filtration and collection to perform the task correctly.
main technologies
Improved sensors and software increase performance by allowing a different and more efficient way of cleaning.
The Dyson 360 VisNav robot vacuum has sensors that sense the edges of a room and redirect suction through a side actuator for precise cleaning in any corner. Its high-level processor thinks and adapts, and is capable of determining its position with an accuracy of 71mm.
Dyson’s cordless vacuum technology uses acoustic piezoelectric sensors to count and classify dust particles, informing owners via the LCD screen when to continue cleaning . These readings also determine the suction power needed for the task, automatically adjusting power levels.
The Dyson Purifier Big+Quiet Formaldehyde has built-in sensors and a unique Dyson algorithm that checks data every second, analyzes the air in the room, automatically turns purification on when pollutant levels rise, and turns it off once the space is thoroughly clean. . A unique sensor that accurately detects formaldehyde, without being confused with other VOCs.
Software built into Dyson machines can help reduce owner frustration . Sensors in the Dyson Gen5detect vacuum monitor the speed, power and temperature of the motor. The redesigned user interface helps owners identify and fix potential problems. Over-the-air software updates ensure machines are automatically updated with the latest features and fixes.
Dyson has been developing its own motor technology since 2004, investing over £350m to date in research, labs, specialist equipment and manufacturing capacity.
The Dyson 360 Vis Nav robot vacuum cleaner
It marks Dyson’s next step in smart robot vacuums: the robot vacuum with six times the suction of any other. Designed using Dyson’s unique Simultaneous Localization and Mapping (SLAM) technology, the Dyson 360 Vis Nav has a 360-degree vision system that remembers where it’s been, sees where to clean and is smart enough to quantify dust detected on the home and create dust maps of the home. The high-level processor thinks and adapts, collecting data from sensors to determine your position to an accuracy of 71mm. It has 26 sensors that perform specific tasks, such as dust detection, obstacle avoidance and wall detection to clean every corner.
It features Dyson’s new triple action brush bar, the first to combine three ways of deep cleaning with powerful suction: soft ‘Fluffy’ nylon for picking up large debris on hard floors; antistatic carbon fiber filaments to collect fine dust on hard floors; and stiff nylon bristles to penetrate carpets. The double link suspension allows the machine to be raised up to 21mm, and its low design allows it to clean under furniture up to 99mm. After 50 minutes of operation, the machine automatically returns to its base to recharge. The MyDyson app provides deep cleaning reports after every clean.
The Dyson Big+Quiet purifier
It’s specifically designed for large, open spaces, along with the Dyson HEPA Big+Quiet purifier designed specifically for simplicity in shared and commercial spaces. The new aerodynamic cone offers a projection of 10 meters and the new CO2 sensor indicates when to ventilate. In addition to its powerful projection, the Dyson Big+Quiet purifier is designed to run quietly, producing only 56 decibels of noise, making it our quietest and most powerful purifier.
The five-year H13 HEPA particle filter traps up to 99.95% of ultrafine particles, while the new K-Carbon filter removes polluting gases and 3 times more NO2. The selective catalytic oxidation filter permanently destroys formaldehyde. Sensors constantly monitor indoor air quality and send live data to the MyDyson app.
The Dyson Gen5detect cordless vacuum cleaner
It has a fifth generation Hyperdymium motor that provides unique suction power, capable of capturing household viruses. The machine features a fully sealed HEPA filtration system, designed to capture 99.99% of particles down to 0.1 microns. 14 cyclones also remove dust from the airflow so there is no loss of suction ensuring optimum performance with every clean. A new Fluffy Optic cleaning head with increased brightness and reach reveals twice as much microscopic dust, so you can see exactly where to clean. The high energy density battery offers up to 70 minutes of autonomy.
The Dyson Submarine wet roller head
Available for the Dyson V15s Detect Submarine vacuum, it provides just the right amount of water to effectively remove spills, stains and small debris from hard floors. To achieve the optimum ‘clean floor’ finish without over-wetting, the wet roller head has been designed with an eight point hydration system, which uses a pressurized chamber for even distribution of water across the full width of the roller.
The motor-driven microfiber roller removes spills, tough stains and small debris, covering floors up to 110m2, thanks to a 300ml clean water tank. A heavy-duty plate draws contaminated water from the wet roller and deposits it in a separate wastewater tank to ensure no dirt or debris is transferred to the floor. Designed to maneuver effortlessly under furniture and clean from edge to edge, the Dyson Submarine wet roller head ensures that debris and even spills are picked up in the most awkward places.
Dyson 360 Vis Nav, Dyson Purifier Big+Quiet Formaldehyde, Dyson Purifier HEPA Big+Quiet Formaldehyde, Dyson Gen5detect and Dyson V15s Detect Submarine will soon be available in Spain at dyson.es.
