Continuing the trend of recent years, LG has once again used the CES 2022 showcase to share the first details about its new line of OLED televisions to 2022 , in which it is again promoting improved brightness as one of the main features of its products, accompanied by various improvements in image quality and user experience, and the incorporation of new chips for its entire family.
Starting at the heart of these televisions, the company claims that its new Alpha 9 Gen 5 AI processors will help further increase luminance through a smarter algorithm and better heat dissipation, at the same time they will also improve the performance of the expansion and offer a virtual 7.1.2 surround sound mix. Panels found in the 2022 OLED lineups have been certified by the global product testing agency Intertek for 100% color fidelity and color volume.
Additionally, all new OLED models will ship with the latest version of the webOS operating system, which adds support for individual profiles to allow menu customization for quick access to your favorite streaming services, as well as other personalized content recommendations and notifications related to your favorite sports teams.
Another novelty that will arrive with this new version of webOS 22 is the function of reflecting the contents of our television on a second compatible LG screen. In this way, the company ensures that we can watch any cable and satellite content on two televisions, without the need to resort to any additional decoder.
Thus, the entire new line of LG televisions will be compatible with the main assistants and smart home devices , allowing control of other devices through the same voice commands, such as lights and thermostats.
Finally, LG also promises a better gaming experience thanks to the update of its optimized mode for games . In fact, we can also find other features already present in previous models, now adding all the televisions of the G2 and C2 families the compatibility with G-Sync, FreeSync technologies and variable refresh rates, which together with the presence of some connectors HDMI 2.1 as standard throughout the 2022 line , will make the new LG a really interesting option for gamers.
Unfortunately LG has not shared any information on the prices of these new monitors , although it has already advanced all the models available for each of the families, with a G2 series made up of three variants of 55, 65 and 75 inches, and two new models that will increase to 83 and 97 inches; and a more affordable C2 series, consisting of up to six models in total, starting with a new size of 42 inches, going from 48, 55, 65 and 77, to 83 inches.
On the other hand, the company has also advanced that plans to expand its line of QNED televisions during this 2022 , although at the moment it has not advanced a date.
