TP-Link reinforces its offer for Wi-Fi 7: final goodbye to wired networks

Maybe you’re still on Wi-Fi 5 and haven’t made the leap to Wi-Fi 6. But the tech industry isn’t stopping, and the next version of the wireless standard, Wi-Fi 7 , is not only on the way, but some Manufacturers already have solutions for sale, even before the Wi-Fi Alliance responsible organization has published the final specifications. TP-Link has just reinforced its offer with two new network solutions, the Archer BE800 router and the Deco BE85 Mesh network adapters.

The Archer BE800 router offers Wi-Fi speeds of up to 19 Gbps in three bands, stratospheric wireless performance that can completely replace wired networks. Its design is spectacular, with an integrated LED screen that offers users the possibility of displaying the time, weather information or personalized text. With a selection of over 3,000 graphics and emojis, each user can personalize their home network to reflect their unique style and preferences.

The router has eight high-performance internal antennas, which promises great coverage. The Archer BE800 is also very well equipped for cables, with one 10Gbps SFP+ fiber WAN/LAN combo port, one 10Gbps WAN/LAN port, and additional 2.5Gbps ports . Very good also in flexibility and expandability for various types of connection.

TP-Link Deco BE85

The other device presented is the Deco BE85 Mesh Wi-Fi , for creating mesh networks, which offers speeds of up to 22 Gbps in three bands . This system is able to take advantage of Wi-Fi 7 over the current standard, 320 MHz bandwidth, QAM quadrature amplitude modulation of up to 4094 vs the previous 1024, double the number of spatial streams from 8 to 16 and improvements in the MIMO, OFDMA function and in the multi-link operation (MLO) technology, which adds multiple channels in different frequency bands at the same time to improve network traffic.

The Deco BE85 Mesh system features eight high-gain antennas and 12 high-power EMFs. A package of three units promises to cover an area of up to 900 square meters . In addition to wireless capability, it includes a pair of 10 Gbps LAN connection ports.

Prices

The entire network can be managed from a mobile with the dedicated TP-LINK app and both devices are equipped with the HomeShield that offers advanced network and IoT protection. They can already be reserved in some markets with availability from June 1. The Archer BE800 is available for $599 , while the Deco BE85 Mesh is $999 (two units) and $1,499 with three units.
